Sara-Megumi Naylor, M.D., appointed as new Quality, Safety, Value (QSV) Officer for Primary Care Services
Effective July 22, 2019, Sara-Megumi Naylor, M.D., has been appointed as the new Quality, Safety, Value (QSV) Officer for Primary Care Services. In her new role, she will oversee primary care performance measures and advance patient safety quality standards. She will help create a high-reliability organization and have operational oversight of QSV activities within SFVAHCS Primary Care Services.
Dr. Naylor graduated from NYU School of Medicine. She completed a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at University of California Los Angeles. She started at VA in 2016 at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. She has worked collaboratively with the clinical, educational and administrative arms of academic departments to align initiatives with institutional goals.
Dr. Naylor currently serves as the Associate Medical Director in Medical Practice, where she also directly cares for patients as a PCP. She is a core faculty member in the VA Center of Excellence in Primary Care Education and an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Division of VA GIM, Department of Medicine, UCSF.
She enjoys hiking, baking and exploring wineries in Northern California.
We know she and the Primary Care services will continue providing excellent customer service to our Veterans.
