  1. Discern between different types of caregivers and caregiving services, both formal and informal.
  2. Develop ethical and effective strategies as health care providers to engage family caregivers in patient care.  
  3. Leverage health technologies to better communicate with family caregivers.
  4. Assess family caregiver burden and broadly understand resources and supports for family caregivers.
